Father Steven Kirk Rector of Aberavon presents the Archbishop of Wales the Rev Barry Morgan with first prize for winning the Phoenix Club of Port Talbot’s Annual Golf Tournament needless to say Archbishop Barry is an accomplished golfer. The tournament was held at the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in September 2004 and the presentation took place at the presentation dinner at which the Archbishop was the guest speaker.

The Archbishop said he was very pleased to support the Phoenix Golf Society which hold this annual tournament with the aim to give the opportunity to young and older golfers with varied handicaps especially teenage low handicap players, as there are few opportunities for them to get this experience until they are over 18 years of age.
